Hon Cletus Apul Avoka, member of Parliament (MP) for the Bawku West has donated a total of 100 benches and 40 repaired metal tables to the District Education Directorate for onward handing over to the school. In a short ceremony today Friday, 20/10/23, to hand over the benches, the legislature stated that he was moved by the appeal made by the Headmaster during the 40th anniversary celebration and has committed resources to provide the benches to support the school to enable the students to take their meals in the dining hall.. The MP told the students that , the Zebstech is his Alma matter and assured them that they are in the right school as ZEBSTECH has produced prominent citizens The legislature advised the students to eschew laziness and procrastination and focus on their studies to enable them achieve their future aspirations. The students were urged to be disciplined, dedicated to their studies and listen to their teachers. Receiving the benches, the Deputy Director of Education in charge of finance, Mr Imoro Mohammed Who represented the District Director said benches is one of the things that the directorate was in dire need of . He said the donation had come at the right time as it would help to reduce the inadequate benches situation in the school. He called on Management of the school to practice good maintenance culture to prolong the life span of the benches. Headmaster's Address On his part, the Headmaster, Mr Ayaabilla Richard Akumbas welcomed the MP and his entourage and thanked him for his kind gesture. He lauded the MP's efforts at ensuring the development of the school in terms of infrastructure and means of transportation.
